Tylor Taporowski is a member of the Class of 2019, whose exciting journey has taken him from mechanical engineering to YouTube stardom!
After graduating from College Academy in Spring 2019, Tylor began his studies in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Central Florida, where he also joined the UCF LEAD Scholars Academy and UCF Burnett Honors College. Throughout his time at UCF, Tylor balanced academics with leadership roles, including working as a Resident Assistant and Teaching Assistant for Intro to Engineering.
In Spring 2020, Tylor completed a study abroad program in Brazil, focusing on the manufacturing of aerospace materials. His passion for theme parks led him to Ohio in Summer 2021, where he interned as a Ride Operations Auditor at Cedar Point Amusement Park.
However, by Spring 2022, Tylor made a bold decision to change his career path, pivoting from the theme park engineering industry to working in digital media. After helping his friend Tyler Blanchard with his YouTube channel as a side hobby, Tylor decided to move to Los Angeles after graduating Cum Laude from UCF in December 2022 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Leadership Studies.
Since January 2023, Tylor has worked full-time as Head Creative for the Tyler Blanchard YouTube channel, which reached 1 million subscribers by March 2023 and 2 million by June 2024 and is approaching 3 million subscribers as of May 2025. As the lead editor and creative mind behind the channel, Tylor has worn many hats, including developing video storylines, managing content production, and even appearing on camera. He is also building an editing team while teaching new editors the skills he’s learned.
Tylor’s journey is a perfect example of how passion and adaptability can lead to extraordinary opportunities—he’s gone from mechanical engineering to creating viral content, and in his role with Tyler Blanchard’s channel, he’s been part of unique experiences, from blowing up cars to wilderness survival.
